FREEZE imagines what would happen if bodies were frozen in a world where cryogenics has become a sustainable method of arresting life. Several individuals are slowly defrosting in a walk-in deep freezer unit which is observed by closed circuit television(CCTV). A new body is propelled into the unit. As they come back to life their bodies slowly begin to recollect memories and thoughts. These culminate in moments of shared, group movement. FREEZE was commissioned as part of the BBC and Arts Council's Dancing Across Water series.
